Macau always give an impression of luxury, the skies painted with bright lights, the roads built with grand architectures both old and new, every corner hoisted with fancy casinos, it has everything that comprises how you would imagine Las Vegas would be like.
Being in such a vibrant city, it could be a little intimidating, let alone having to spend a night surrounded by poker chips and playing cards. Just by looking on the map, it doesn't take too much time to figure that there are only a handful of spots where it is ideal to have a much calmer vibe, without having to completely separate yourself from where all the glitz and glamour of Macau is.
Hotel Royal Macau stands perfectly between where the candid life of Macau is and where all the games are happening and that for me is a perfect way to spend your nights in such a lively city.
The initial concern of every traveler is how to get to the hotel. With a free shuttle ride from the Macau Ferry Terminal, each guest can enjoy the convenience of getting to the hotel, ticking off that worry from the traveler. Just upon entering the lobby, the hotel immediately provides a five star feeling with the warmth of its staff to the interiors of the hotel.
There are a variety of rooms to choose from but it is definitely noteworthy to check the Family Suite.
With a king sized bed and a separate nook for the little ones, the 44 sqm. suite makes it very cozy for a family to stay in one room different the conventional connecting room. This allows the family to bond and stay together with enough space to move around.

The Premier Rooms also offer such a cozy ambiance. Boasting a 27 sqm. floor area, the room provides a good amount of space and a well illuminated room courtesy of the large bay windows, it is such a stylish room to spend the night at.
Each room has a peculiar view of Macau right outside the window, a well supply of drinks inside the mini bar, a marbled toilet furnished with toiletries by Aigner, a spacious work desk, a flat screen television, a pair of bath robes and slippers, an in room safe, a complimentary coffee and tea, a high speed wireless internet connection and the convenience of placing an order when one is craving for good food from the hotel's famous restaurants.

There are two restaurants in the hotel, both famous and loved by locals and foreign guests alike. Catalpa Garden Restaurant is well known for its Shanghainese delicacies. Its prominent Shanghainese chef creates 120 distinctive dishes to choose from. It is a multi awarded restaurant that is also a favorite venue for various events such as conferences, meetings, birthdays and weddings. It has an exquisite look and feel that is perfect for a modern and fine Chinese dining experience.
As a former Portuguese colony, much of Macau's identity is shared with Portuguese influence evidently seen in its architecture and language. However, Portuguese cuisine is not predominantly found. To rise to this expectation, Hotel Royal has invited the well known Chef Luis Americo to head the hotel's Portuguese restaurant, Fado.
We were lucky enough to be graced by the Chef himself, read our dining experience at Fado here.
It is truly impressive that Hotel Royal Macau has offered such a unique dining experience to its guests and gives a great selection of the two cultures that Macau is rooted from.
Guests are greeted to a fine morning with a buffet breakfast at Fado, with a varied choices of western and asian food.
To keep up with an active lifestyle, there is also an in house fitness center, an indoor pool so one can enjoy swimming regardless of the weather outside and a sauna for an extra chance to relax.
A business center also comes in handy for your miscellaneous needs.

Hotel Royal Macau is perfectly situated at the foothills of Estrada da Vitoria, near the historical Guia Fort and Lighthouse. It is also just a fifteen minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul and a ten minute walk to giant casinos such as Grand Lisboa and Wynn.
Just around the hotel is a pleasant neighborhood, shops and quaint cafes. A very unique way to explore Macau upclose and personal.
As an added service, the hotel offers free shuttle services not only to and from the hotel and Macau Ferry Terminal, but to Grand Lisboa, Lotus Square, Main Entrance of Cultural Center, New Yaohan, Macau Tower, Galaxy, City of Dreams and Venetian.
The location of Hotel Royal, together with its amenities and facilities are perfect to anyone who wants to spend a celebration or visit Macau without having to be bothered with how busy and active the Macau scene is without having to be casted far away from the center.
