Like the Comforts of my own: Inn Oon Chiang Mai Home

It's always a pleasure thinking about Inn Oon Chiang Mai Home. I take special interest to hotels that offer quite an interesting aura and Inn Oon is perfect for our 'flashpacking' genre in traveling.

We were not traveling lavishly but we were also not on a strict budget, we wanted a hotel that's very personalized, small scale and holds that home feel we don't always get at luxury brands.

Luang Prabang: For Travelers than Tourists

Luang Prabang probably is the most difficult destination to write about simply because there's hardly enough perfect words for me to describe what it is about. To date, it remains my favourite destination because it has a lot of the elements that I prefer in a destination. To me, Luang Prabang is the epitome of what South East Asia is all about.

It wasn't any shorter than an 8 hour bus-ride away from Vientiane but every minute spent on the narrow beds of that sleeper bus was definitely worth it. I might not be able to describe it well, but I would like to see it as a way of giving you room to experience it for yourself.

Azumi Boutique Hotel

With a rising hype for boutique and character-defined hotels, Azumi Boutique Hotel is definitely one who stood out as a charming spot for the hip and the trendy guests.

While luxurious five star hotels have since dominated a good share of the market, competition is starting to become steamy as these boutique hotels started to pull off something very current and chic - the very essence that keeps the vibrant mood of Azumi Hotel alive.

Another Side of China: Macau

It was hot and humid and the sun was beaming towards us during summer in China, but I couldn't allow the heat to weaken me. Macau was an hour and a half ferry ride away from Hong Kong, in spite of this short distance and the fact that both are laying over the Chinese soil, they were two very distinct places, each having it's exclusive identity.

Luck was in our path the soonest we got at the ferry terminal, we unconsciously fell in line in a "standby area" giving us the chance to board our boat two hours before our schedule. It is something worthy to note, find that sign and fall in line the very chance you get. Not only were we given an early head start for this trip, my friends and I got upgraded to Super Class (Business) while we only purchased Economy. I didn't bother knowing the reason anymore, I just had to sit on that seemingly-lazy boy couch I was assigned for.

Coron Down Under

The best of Coron, Palawan does not only sit above the shores where sparkling blue waters and lush greenery overwhelms your sight. It owes much of its enchantment from the grandeur life down under. The brilliance of colors and the glowing movement of the waters were spectacular. Must I say it is a paradise in a paradise?

From Kayangan Lake's chandelier stone formation to the glowing fishes of Siete Pecados, to the playful creatures in the shores of Banana Island to the majestic kingdom of the Bolog Reef; Coron, Palawan has so much to offer.
Let me bring you to Coron, down under.

Finding Neverland: Coron, Palawan

Before my eyes met paradise, Manila was wrapped in dark nimbus clouds. We were under a blanket of rain while we followed the storm’s trail.  I was in a chase with luck; hopefully, my flight would not be one of those being announced as cancelled on the radio while my father was driving under heavy downpour to the airport.

A Place for Peter Pan- The Mt. Tapyas Hotel

Coron, Palawan will always be my definition of finding Neverland. And the journey in this beautiful town is incomplete without a cradle to carry out all the fun's worth. With a bird's eye view of the surrounding waters of mainland Coron, the view itself satisfies your craving for some of the best time of your life. And yes, I would definitely say, best.

Being there, it is as if Peter Pan is at his spot to take a glimpse of Neverland.

21 Reasons to Love Singapore

In celebration of my 21st candle-blowing year and on my 21st Wander Dude post, let me tell you 21 reasons to love, what I believe to be the loveliest place on earth, Singapore.

Of Meeting Elephants and Counting Countless Temples

Amazing Thailand. The Thai tourism council made a splendid job of coming up with a no-better-word than 'Amazing'. I couldn't think of another adjective to describe this South East Asian marvel. Everything in Thailand is either, exciting or amazing, both words equally complimenting.
